Advertisement Details   Category Privateer Stuff Title Parting out a Privateer Created 09/29/11 Days left until expiration -235 Description I'm parting out a Privateer project boat stored in the Saugatuck MI. area. The boat was in the water (Lake Michigan) only once back in the early 70s and has been cradled in a trailer ever since. The boat was purchased as a kit but never completed. I have the bronze dolphins, stern eagle, mahogany bowsprit and galley table, main sail and jib (used once) main mast etc. The bow berth was done in mahogany as well and would truly class up an in-tact Privateer. I took on the boat five years ago as a favor because a close friend could no longer store it at his home due to local zoning laws. When I moved the boat, I also moved a family of raccoons that had taken up residence. They had chewed up the berth cushions as well as much of the beautiful wood work to include the stair way. My plan is to part out the boat and donate the rest to charity. I'll post pictures in the months to follow.
